The Good Guy (2010)

Ambitious young Manhattanite and urban conservationist Beth wants it all-- a good job, good friends, and a good guy to share the city with. Of course that last one is often the trickiest of all. Beth falls hard for Tommy, a sexy, young Wall Street hot-shot. But just as everything seems to be falling into place, complications arise in the form of Tommy's sensitive and handsome co-worker Daniel.

Beth soon learns that the game of love in the big city is a lot like Wall Street - high risk, high reward and everybody has an angle.

The Yellow Handkercheif (2010) Kirsten Stewart

Brett Hanson is an ex-convict, just released from prison after serving six years for manslaughter and now adrift in a world of new freedoms and responsibilities.

Finding initial difficulties in reconciling himself to a troubled past, Brett crosses paths with lonely and troubled teenager Martine and her new 'ride' Gordy. The trio head out in the same car and direction--Martine to cut loose and get away from her family, Gordy to get closer to Martine, and Brett who must decide whether he wants to return to his troubled past and an uncertainty with May, the woman that he left behind.

Once on the road, the trio find their relationships forging and changing in myriad ways, but it is Brett's story and his need to reconcile his past to his future that drives the two young people to reassess their own passages as well.

William Hurt and Maria Bello are vital character stars in this movie, but Kristen Stewart is getting the most...yes..the most promotional interest. Well i think because of the Twilight movie series in which Stewart are so well known and put her in a higher stardom. Eheemmm..what can i say..thats life!

The Last Airbender (2010)

This is an upcoming adventure-fantasy film based on the first season of the highly successful animated television series, Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Obviously this is a live-action film adaptation of the animated television series produced by Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies. It is planned to be the first film in the The Last Airbender trilogy. This one is scheduled to be released on July 2, 2010.

The film stars Noah Ringer as Aang, a reluctant hero who prefers adventure over his job as the Avatar. Aang, and his friends Katara and Sokka journey to the North Pole to find a Waterbending master to teach Aang and Katara the secrets of the craft. At the same time, Fire Lord Ozai, the current Fire Lord of the Fire Nation, is waging a seemingly endless war against the Earth Kingdom, the Water Tribes, and the already vanquished Air Nomads. The film also stars Nicola Peltz, Jackson Rathbone, and Dev Patel.

I had a feeling that this will be a great movie...aahhh don’t get me wrong, I’m not judging the film based on this teaser trailer we embedded below but somehow the trailer and the feel of it look pretty cool. It's M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender

Too much words has been said? Well let's check out the trailer....

Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief ( 2010 )

Based on the book by Rick Riordan, Percy Jackson is the story of a young boy living a simple yet boring life with his mother and a step-father. In this modern year? (Yeah...whats wrong with the modern year?) believe it or not but the gods of Olympus have walked out of the pages of Percy's Greek mythology and put his life into a whirlwind of thrill and adventures. He learned that his real father is Poseidon, God of the sea, eheem...sounds interesting huh...by looking at the trailer below it definitely reminds me of Harry Potter movie series. What can i say? The director of this movie is also the one directed Harry Potter..heheheh...Of course let's expect marvelous eye-popping special effects.

This looks like a non-stop thrill-ride and a classic of mythic proportions with great cast assembled like Logan Lerman, Brandon T. Jackson, Alexandra Daddario, Jake Abel, Pierce Brosnan, Catherine Keener, Uma Thurman, and Sean Bean.

Ummmm...okay i know whats in your mind,,the trailer?
Okay here we go....

Shutter Island

Shutter Island is a 2010 thriller film directed by Martin Scorsese and starring Leonardo DiCaprio. The film is based on the 2003 novel of the same name by Dennis Lehane. Production started in March 2008. Shutter Island was originally slated to be released on October 2, 2009, but Paramount pushed the release date to February 2010. Paramount head executive Brad Grey blamed the recent economic downturn as the main decision behind the delayed release date.

In 1954, two U.S. marshals investigate the disappearance of a patient from a hospital for the criminally insane on an island in Massachusetts. They run into trouble when they are deceived by the hospital's chief administrator, a hurricane hits, and an inmate riot traps them on the island.

Dear John (2010)

What would you do with a letter that changed everything?

From Nicholas Sparks, best selling author of The Notebook...

"Dear John" tells the story of John Tyree (Channing Tatum), a young soldier home on leave, and Savannah Curtis (Amanda Seyfried), the idealistic college student he falls in love with during her spring vacation. Over the next seven tumultuous years, the couple is separated by John’s increasingly dangerous deployments. While meeting only sporadically, they stay in touch by sending a continuous stream of love letters overseas--correspondence that eventually triggers fateful consequences.

(NEWS COURTESY OF REUTERS)

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - The new romantic drama "Dear John" unexpectedly ended the seven-week reign of "Avatar" at the weekend box office in North America on Sunday, pulling in large numbers of young female moviegoers.

"Dear John" grossed an estimated $32.4 million in the three-day period since opening Friday, said distributor Screen Gems, the low-budget division of Sony Corp..

It had hoped for an opening of about $20 million on a weekend when many Americans forsake movies to watch the Super Bowl, traditionally the year's most-watched television broadcast. The football championship starts around 6:25 pm in Miami.

"Dear John" stars Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried as lovers whose romance is curtailed by the September 11 attacks. It is directed by Swedish filmmaker Lasse Hallstrom and based on "The Notebook," a novel by Nicholas Sparks.

Audiences for the film were 84 percent female and two-thirds were under the age of 21, Sony said.

The last romantic comedy to hit theaters was the widely panned "Leap Year" about a month ago. "The Lovely Bones," another box office disappointment, also has made a play for young women after failing to get any traction during the annual movie awards season.

"Avatar" earned $23.6 million in its eighth weekend, taking its total to $630.1 million. James Cameron's sci-fi blockbuster surpassed the $601 million haul of his 1997 release "Titanic" last Tuesday to become the biggest movie of all time in the United States and Canada.

The data are not adjusted for ticket-price inflation or for the higher cost of 3D engagements. The film was released by 20th Century Fox, a unit of News Corp..

Kick Ass (2010)

A twisted, funny, high-octane adventure, director Matthew Vaughn brings KICK-ASS to the big screen. KICK-ASS tells the story of average teenager Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson), a comic-book fanboy who decides to take his obsession as inspiration to become a real-life superhero. As any good superhero would, he chooses a new name — Kick-Ass — assembles a suit and mask to wear, and gets to work fighting crime. There’s only one problem standing in his way: Kick-Ass has absolutely no superpowers. His life is forever changed as he inspires a subculture of copy cats, meets up with a pair of crazed vigilantes — including an 11-year-old sword-wielding dynamo, Hit Girl (Chloë Moretz) and her father, Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage) — and forges a friendship with another fledgling superhero, Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse). But thanks to the scheming of a local mob boss Frank D’Amico (Mark Strong), that new alliance will be put to the test.
